Went to lake Washington to get some flat and to hopefully fall into a grove, similar to that of the Chicago marathon.
4 mi warm up and 15 miles at marathon pace. Wanted to go out about 630 pace and cut down to 620 pace. After a couple comfortable miles I looked at my god and realized I was going way too fast.... but I felt good. And every time I forcefully slowed down, I naturally sped back up. Overall, great run.
Wore the brand new racing flats for the full thing and they felt great. I did get sizable blisters on my achilles but i didnt notice until the end and i can probably fix that with band aids and better socks. One pack of honey Stingers chews and a 10 oz carry bottle got me through it all. And my stomach felt world's better than it did yesterday.
