Fort Ord

Notes

got through this one pretty well all things considering. snafu with my nutrition meant i only got fluids once during the run at 4 miles, had to survive the next 12 on my own. this is a hilly and challenging route. especially the 7th 8th 9th and 10th miles. the good news is that even tho i was dead tired at the end i still turned in some respectable final few miles. it is good to be moving back in the direction of doing really challenging route in order to have an easier time when i race. the course in Sacremento will be night and day with this route.

taking two days off and really focusing on my shins was a good call i think. they felt good during the run and feel good afterwards. going to try to do every easy run out at fort ord for the forseeable future so i can try to keep them cared for.

first run in the new Nike Pegasus' and i really like them. the heel drop is 11mm which isnt a ton. i noticed it but i didnt feel like i was being forced onto my heels or anything. it will be more revealing when i wear them for my sessions i think
