I was caught in a downpour while doing some easy laps on the High School Track. Drenched, I picked up the pace to splash the last mile in 8:15.
My perseverance was rewarded with a long hot steamy shower. And brunch downtown topped off with freshly baked carrot cake from the new Quail and Condor bakery. Lots of icing.
