Cobbs Hill

Notes

Sunset run with Jeff at Cobbs hill. Felt pretty damn good. The beginning of the run was chilly, since it's mid 50s and I went shirtless. Feet were cold to begin with, too, and Jeff said he was stiff, so we ran pretty slowly up the hill in the beginning. However, everything loosened up and we ran a solid 6:45 pace for 2 complete laps + the extra half around the reservoir. Jeff was feeling that pace more, but I felt fantastic, just really relaxed loping along. Took it pretty easy coming down the hill, then dropped the pace pretty hard for the last 400m. Jeff felt good through about 300m of that, and then I dropped him for the last bit. He'd played basketball yesterday, but my legs were as fresh as can be, and it felt really good to open up.

I guess we'll see if I can run a couple times a week like this for a while. I've been looking for a decent road bike on craigslist, but I'm going to go look at the bike shops this week and see what they might have sitting around. Going to the Y is fine, but I'd really enjoy some long fall rides around here. Yessir!
