Switched into the Vibrams for the 1200s and Andrew and I aimed for 4:30+ to start with, just to see what it was like. We finished the first one right one where we wanted to be. The rest of the notes above are all I really wanted to say about it. Felt good throughout the workout, finished feeling like I had another 1 or 2 at least in me; certainly another one about 4:15 or faster was within reason. Felt like I was right on that threshold pace the whole time, with the exception of the first one maybe being a bit too easy for feel. Nevertheless, this workout had everything I wanted -- steady pacing on each interval, a bit of an increase throughout to give a good psychological boost, and good running together with Andrew. He was a second behind me on the last interval, but seemed as if he was handling all of it pretty comfortably.

Gmapped the 1200 route just to check it, and the way we ran it was maybe 5m short... certainly within the accuracy of the gmap program, so I feel like these times are a pretty accurate indication of the sort of shape I am in.

Also, the rest in-between each interval wasn't timed, but Andrew and I waited maybe 2 minutes or less between each, allowing the breathing rate to decrease but the heart still pumping in the 115-130 range, probably. Definitely not full rest.

PS probably my first actual 1200 workout since summer before senior year -- 3 1/2 years ago. Wow.
