Jaunt through KK with Eric, Chris, Rooney, Andrew, David, and Pat. Good solid group of alumni. The woods were muddy from all the rain, and we slopped through the 411, the 911, then ran out to the complex in DRP (fountains were off). Pace was okay, but varied a lot... jumped dramatically at one point to 7 min pace or faster, then dropped to more like 7:45. In the muddy sections, it was pretty relaxed, but the muddiness also meant that some people were struggling a bit more than others. Nevertheless, the woods were good fun as always. At one point, climbed a double-height chain-link fence because chris made a joke about going straight when we had to go right or left leaving DRP. Shins hurt a bit throughout, but not significantly worse than any other time. I sort of wonder, if I maintain 25-30 mpw and ice, if it will go away... I'd rather not lose fitness by being out for a while, but I would love to be clear of this inflammation so I could run normally again.
