This was a run that my daughter was selected to participate in with law enforcement for the SOMD Torch Run (Howard County). We met at Cedar Lake East park and ran with police officers and other law enforcement personnel (about 60 total). There were 5 special Olympic athletes. A bus followed us which you could ride for breaks. My daughter did really well since she doesn't run long distances. We rode the bus for short segments a few times. They had to keep the group from getting too stretched out so we had to get on when we were too far behind the larger group of runners. Nice event! (Disclaimer: my time includes the short bus rides)
