Good, hard effort - initially not that happy with the time, but the route was approximately 290m too long (based on official GPS route map vs actual GPS route map - marshal's got one of the traffic circle turning points wrong - turned us at the wrong circle - took 60s off the watch time [1:25:35, 21.37km] to account for this) and the hill actually takes more out of one that I initially thought. So all things considered definitely not a PB course, all of which makes me a little more accepting of the time.
The run itself: felt like I was grafting a bit at 3:55 pace - definitely wasn't easy, but did manage to hold it for most of the race. Didn't clock watch, ran according to feel. Felt like I was going slower up the hill than I actually did, and also felt like I was going faster down the other side than I actually did. Legs were definitely a little pap from the bottom of the hill to the finish line, but that's to be expected given the training focus on 5/10km and not the half.
