My 9th Marathon, 6th Boston Marathon today in 88 degree heat. haven't had a time over 3:49 since 4 marathons ago. couldn't be helped today, extreme heat/hot the entire way. Took water/gatorade at every single stop plus whatever I could get my hands on from random people. Took Ice wherever I could get for under my hat. My friend Glen appeared out of nowhere at mile 18.5 and handed me a huge bag of shredded ice. ran 1:57 by the 1/2 way point. hot every second. ran under every hose possible. in agony most of the way. So glad it's done. (Garmin said 26.45 most likely from crossing over and over again to get water stops on both sides.).
