Notes
9 hours sleep, V8, banana, NRG bar and coffee breakfast. Wow, Perfect day, a tad cold, but clear sunny skies and very little wind except when right on the harbor. Went out a tad fast, but felt good even going up the initial hills. Downhill started on mile five, felt effortless, and it was 8:36! Figured, "what the heck" and just tried to see how long I could keep up the pace without it becoming labored. Rand hard but comfortable the rest of the way, even did mile 12 in just a hair over 9, that's with the quarter mile steep hill back into town! Nothing could have wiped that smile off of my face as I sprinted towards the finish, especially when I realized that I was well under two hours with the official clock, not just my net time! A good day. A very good day indeed!
