Notes

40 minutes after the 800m race. Barely sub 10. I thought I did 10:00, but after looking over my watch, I definitely hit sub 10. Great day. Great day for track.

splits are approximate, as always. penner paced me for 40s all the way through and it was BEAUTIFUL. But holy fuck, I was dead tired by the end; it took a lot out of me, after having already run PRs or near-PRs in two events prior in the past 2 hours. This SMASHES the idea that I can only run 5:30/5:35 pace for the 1.5 mile runs. I am going for sub 8 next time. I wonder what I could do if I ran this fresh. This is 16:40 5k pace. I am not an 18:00 5k runner. I am much better than that. Much better. I would like to try a track 5k and see if I can hit sub seventeen. If I can do 3k @ 5:22/mi after having done so fucking much before, then I can do a 5k fresh at 5:22/mi.

but dayum son, I was really struggling to hit those 40s by the end. good race.
