Notes
A slow jog/walk with John and Zephyr from our hotel down to the river. I normally enjoy the reconnaissance day far more than I did today. I think the turn in the weather has me a bit down. Additionally, I was expecting the Danube to be yet another beautiful sight in our journey but it was a disappointment to say the least. It is a small, slow moving body of water (here in Vienna at least) and the riverside is dirty and full of graffiti. It has a definite "Detroit in decay" look about it. This combined with the cold, bleak weather left me wholly unimpressed with our outing.
My legs felt tired and sluggish from our travel day yesterday too. Hoping some general sighseeing turns the tide of my mood.
