Notes

This ended up being a beautiful day. Overcast and no wind, cool temps and the chance to wear my arm sleeves! It was also a good lineup at the start - Deena Kastor was right in front of me (and stayed there as she went on the break the Master's record), I had a crew of Fleet Feet women around me, and suddenly I realized that Flan was also in the mix! I had no idea she and Adam were in town racing, so that was a great surprise!

Less surprising was how crap my legs felt! I was pretty exhausted and heavy the whole race. The splits above are (thankfully) not accurate as they got messed up in the shadow of the buildings, but I still know that the first mile is accurate meaning this was NOT a cut down race by any means. I was happy that it was faster than the 8k in Minnesota, but I would also hope so with no wind and no ice on the roads! Overall, I felt much worse and continue to struggle with some pretty intense fatigue both running and during the day, but happy to sneak out a PB anyway.
