Notes
Tough course and run, just didn't feel right from the start. I went out fast hoping to snap out of it, nope, a grind from miles 2-4 and my stomach was just not right - didn't help this was the hilly section. Egad and I ran the first 5 together and I was just hanging on. Once I hit 5, decided to let it rip and go all out. Once again, snapped out of it and the last mile or more felt good. Man, gotta figure out how I start a race and maintain a better split throughout....
All in all, what a fun race hanging out and traveling with Gwen and Eric - we even went for a nice post-race gallup through Freeport. All in all a great event (even scored two race shirts as a friend of mine's son was running the volunteer station and we got a nice red shirt for our post-race run).
