Notes

Race (well sort of) with Egad, Jimbo, Rob, Vangie and Gwen.

Hmmm - this was a weird one - tons of emotions on this.... The plan was to go out easy for the first 8 or so and hard the last five - mission accomplished (Thanks Mike for the idea).

Seriously mixed emotions here - I think I really could have killed this race, but was pumped that I held myself back. I had a ton of fun running easy and then picking people off at the end. The last five felt real fresh - I had so much in the tank and had a blast toying with two guys at the end - could get used to this! Honestly, this was the hardest thing I've ever done to hold back and let people speedboat me for 8 miles - knowing full-while I could have smacked their ass. I did my best to remind myself that this piss-ant race was not my goal....

The best part of this thing - For 8 miles, I couldn't help but remanence back to last year and think back to where I am

now - WOW!! What an incredible transformation - under 200 lbs, throwing sub 1:40 half marathons like it's nothing and FINALLY completing a WHOLE marathon cycle injury-free (well a few weeks yet, but I'm there)!

Honestly - I've never felt so fresh from a race than right now - I'm ready for Shamrock to give it ALL I HAVE!

Still haven't done jack-shit yet - but thank you CN! What an incredible year or so!!!!!!
