2nd Beer Mile is in the books with some gains. was a crowd of ole balls and non runners which included joel, pat, joe avey, steven (taking over Joe's room in the dojo), Mason (currently residing in the dojo), John (who just ran and didn't drink. Got fucked right from the start which was supposed to be an example of what was going to be said but people opened their beers so they started (while I started, stopped, and restarted my watch) the first beer went down smooth and I was out the gate first even with the fumbles on starting. First lap was good. I got the burps out quick and dropped the hammer. forgot to slow down though which left me out of breath for beer 2. Beer 2 went alright going down in 3 chugs or so. Lap 2 I let off the gas better on the finishing straight which put me in a better position for beer 3. It took me 5 seconds or so to open the damn can and once I had it open I struggled to get it down quick because my stomach was getting riled up. Lap 3 was smooth followed by a slow beer because I knew that I had ascertained victory and didn't want to put myself in a position of yakking. Looked at my watch around the start of lap 4 and realized I was actually close to breaking 7 so I went all in on my kick and got a new pr. My time was a little off because of the start and because I accidentally hit the pause button instead of a split. I made adjustments in my splits to reflect that. The timers clocked me at 6:55 though.
