This race went almost exactly how I wanted it to go. I got out smart and stayed conservative. Moved up from the middle of the pack into the front group in the first 2 laps then sat on the leader for most of the rest of the race. Whenever there was a lead change I hopped on the new leaders shoulder and held on. With 2 laps to go UConn pulled away and I couldn't cover the move. I let an Indiana guy pass me and sat on him till 300 out. At that point Harry Wood of Virginia Tech made the pass and him and Indiana slowly gapped me. I tried to keep that gap as consistent as possible. 100 out some duke guy flew by me and I made my final surge for the 3 guys ahead of me but to no avail. Happy with the time and the experience. Gets me excited for some summer races.
