Notes

This was my first time racing this course. It was challenging but not to much. It had a little of everything, a few good hills both up and down and some flat. The trails where as expected, roots and rocks but nothing to bad and room enough to pass people if needed.

Only discouraging part of this race was that I started off 5 i think and then got into 4th where at mile 2 I finally got passed the next guy to hold 3rd. Just before the mile 3 marker the trail took a course change and the 2nd place guy went right, guess we should have gone left because we ended up doing a little add on and while coming down the home stretch the guy that was 4th came out of the correct course and got in front of me for 3rd and I just couldn't catch him. Since there was no prize money or anything for anything other then 1st it was more comical then anything. I still got 1st for my age group.

It was great to see Cremer there showing his support to everyone at the finish line, even though he did not run, Thanks Cremer. That shows real dedication and support to all the runners.

The weather was real nice, cool and breezy/windy at the start but it settled down down in the trees. I ended up wearing a bit to much on the course. I went with a long sleeve shirt and one of my light running pull overs but should have stuck with the single shirt but oh well. Shorts where a good choice, though cool, I warmed up quick and was fine by the end of the race.
