Donating Blood and then Running (Read 205 times)

How long should I wait.  I forgot I signed up to donate today, so I didn't run before I donated.  Could I run slow later on today?

I do recall in the summer when I donated, I felt significantly weaker the next day running.

I'd not run today at all.

      Only 5ks for a while!

I'd not run today at all.

I can not imagine anyone would think it is a good idea to run the same day after giving blood.

Take it easy the next day too.

        Drink lots of fluid/water.

I've done it dozens of times.  Perhaps make it an easy day, and play it by how you feel...walk or stop altogether if you feel you need to do so.

Always go to other people's funerals, otherwise they won't go to yours.

This is a good question for Lance Armstrong since he knows a thing or two about exercising after drawing a bag of blood.
