Forums >General Running>When to Hydrate on Long Runs? How far is too far w/o water?
...Does the Amphipod have pouches to carry gu and stuff? Do you like it enough that it is worth lowering your status as a runner?

Yeah. My boobs. Sure would be nice if going shirtless and braless were an option.
I ran a mile and I liked it, liked it, liked it. dgb2n@yahoo.com
If you want I could carry those for you Sorry- I just couldn't resist!

Bwahahaha...would you do it for free? At $40 apiece the damned bras get expensive!

I actually prefer to run without the belt but for longer runs I put up with it.

nah...she needs two really short runners so they could just lay on their heads... they could be her pacers and then she could run unencumbered...heck...they might even carry the water too....
Exactly...and it's not like my 10+ mile runs in the Summer are "tempo" runs, anyhow. I figure running with a little extra weight on long runs actually makes me stronger when I'm running unencumbered--kinda like saving flats for race day.
Also, we save flats for race day because they can cause injuries, that's the only reason...it's not so we can feel stronger while running unencumbered.
omigod are you gonna get bopped for that. there's like a bazillion people here who swear by minimal shoes and think the shoe companies are "wedged" in a conpsiracy to create/sell a need for ultra high-healed cushioned shoes to deal with "problems" they created. anyway, you seem new. welcome aboard. i'd raise a post-run glass for ya, but wouldn't wanna weigh you down, so more newcastle for me! and tell us about yourself (in a profile) I perhaps just almost offered beer to a minor.

Heh, I am almost one of them, too. Not a conspiracy theorist, by any means, but I went from heavy, high stability shoes to a lightweight, low stability trainer over the course of less than 2 years...keep gradually moving my way down the control scale. Have the neutral equivalent of my shoe on-order, too. If those work well for me I will be researching flats in the future.
