>Cross Training>Athlete dies in a tri
I'm running somewhere tomorrow. It's going to be beautiful. I can't wait.
100% of people who participate in a triathlon die.
It's always during the swim. Three deaths this year in the U.S. in triathlons...
When you're on your deathbed, you won't be wishing that you'd spent more time at the office. But you will be wishing that you'd spent more time running. Because if you had, you wouldn't be on your deathbed.
I think you're more likely to die driving to and from the race than actually participating in it.
You're probably several orders of magnitude more likely to get hurt on the drive to the race than during the race. But that wouldn't make a good news story, now would it?
TRIing to beat the heat!
