Forums >General Running>What's your favorite marathon/race?
Flat is boring.
Cause I CAN
Marine Corps Marathon Way too many people, not as flat or as fast as promised but amazing crowd support and race support by the Marines who (mostly) volunteer.
Vermont City Marathon: great city, great support, great organization, great course, great fans, (somebody stop me please), great entertainment, and great views.
My favorite: Pike's Peak. (not boring)
Barefoot and happy
That said, nothing beats an 800m race on the track.
Imminent Catastrophe
Ummmm. Too easy. Next question?
"Able to function despite imminent catastrophe"
"To obtain the air that angels breathe you must come to Tahoe"--Mark Twain
"The most common question from potential entrants is 'I do not know if I can do this' to which I usually answer, 'that's the whole point'.--Paul Charteris, Tarawera Ultramarathon RD.
