So happy (Read 841 times)

It was race day today.  My first race in 4 years of non running. I have been training hard for it and really wanted a PR.  That would have required a run of under 30 min.  I was hoping for a 29 min or maybe even a 28:30 at best.

    27:11!!!!

Ran my ass off and it didn't feel like it all.  I know I'll never make it to London but hell a 3 min reduction of my PR makes me one happy guy.

Thanks to all of you that gave me great advice.  Apparently it worked.

    Cool Jump Suit

Very nice!  Now on to under 27:00!

The kiss goodnight, it comes with me,
Both wrong and right, our memories.
      The whispering before we sleep,
Just one more thing that you can't keep.

Our favorite place we used to go,
The warm embrace that no one knows.
The lovin' look that's left your eyes,
But I know in time we'll find this was no surprise.

very nice job   & yes now on to sub 27

Congratulations! In your easy run post, I was thinking that if your easy run pace was right that you should be able to beat your 30 minute goal. Keep it up!

Congratulations, that's a heck of a chunk off your PR.  Keep it rolling.

                Tick tock

                  Thanks everyone.

I was pretty happy taking 3 mins of a 5K.  My next race is a 10K in September.  I'm planning on setting a new PR there as well.  Big grin
