Frustrating Project

Fascinating photos of pre-World War I Russia. Using an advanced technique, the photographer was actually able to create color images way back in the early 1900's. Seeing these pictures in color makes them seem so much more real -- it's like a window into a world long long gone.

Wow...that's really cool. Especially seeing how he did it and how the images were converted digitally.

Just wow.

Amazing how you "remember" and era by the images you have seen of it. The early 20th century was a lot more drab, to me. These are so COLORFUL!!
