        Yes, I am running a marathon as a long run. I'm also doing a 50k as a long run in August. Potentially another trail marathon. I should get 3-4 20+ mile runs, and 2-3 18-19 mile runs this cycle. Goal to average 45 mpw, peaking in the high 50s. Training starts next week-- this week I'm nursing injury.

         

        I won't be undertrained for MCM. I'm determined as all hell.

                              You are not sandbagging are you?  I thought I recalled a 3:20 goal. 

                               

                              No sandbagging here.  I wish I could do 3:20 ... maybe somewhere down the road.  Lot's of guys on here that are in their early 40's are shooting for the 3:20 BQ, maybe it's one of them you are thinking of.  I'm 46 and need a 3:30 to BQ.  That's been the goal since day 1.
