    On On

I was able to do this so far.  Are you going to log stalk us or do we need to post if we are still on schedule?

If the logs are open (everyone signed up so far is open) I plan to get them and post here, maybe not the first of every month, but will try and update in the first week.  Actually it makes sense to wait a couple of days to give a chance for everyone to update the log.  If for some reason you close the log or did not put in all the miles, post them and I'll update the table.

Also If we miss a month for some reason (vacation, goal race etc), makes sense to pick it back up from prior month that was on target.

This is a great idea. Janaury and February have kind of sucked for me, but I'm stepping things up in March.

Have you qualified for Boston? I want to interview you!

                Runners run

Feb sucked for me as I didn't run for 2 weeks when away skiing (nowhere safe to run as the roads where I was staying were avalanche zones and pedestrians weren't allowed, plus I was too lazy to catch a bus at night and run in dark in the safe areas further up the mountain).  When I got back I got a stupid cold and sciatica.  Whinge whinge (reasons given so I remember why the month sucked though).  So I will attempt to actually do the challenge with March's mileage and beyond.  April could be tricky but I will avoid the temptation to deliberately cut miles in March so that I know I can beat them in April.

Genius.  A challenge that keeps "giving" all year long.

So I've got a spin on this to consider.  I would assume most of us are not actually going to even try to run more each and every month through the end of the year.  Like me there are cycles and stuff.  So how about this.  While the alpha dog at the end of the day is whoever keeps this up for the most months starting in January, let's also consider how many "+more" months you have total...for example I already plan on running less in April due to racing so I can only get Feb-Mar.  But after dropping for April I could theoretically then build through the end of the year and still get 10 of the 11 months.  I would consider 8-9 to be a real success in my case.

This is tempting me to do something stupid tonight, like run 40 miles. Sure wish I hadn't slacked off earlier this month.

I'm in.  January was all right (252 for the chart), but my February was awful (probably 170 or so after I run tonight).  Missed a week on account of the flu.  There is a zero percent chance of me running 80+ miles tonight, but I like beating January every other month this year.

Maybe I will run 200 miles tonight.

Feb was a bust for me too and Jan was decent. Put me on the chart and we'll see how this goes.

I told myself I would stay away from this nonetheless here I am.  Put me down.   I hope this doesn't turn out like the weight loss threads where I just tread water.
