Updated again. Man you people are some racing fools.
Ok - I think I have these up to date. Getting it just under the gun but hey I'm at Disney having fun with the fam and I think I finally figured out my ankle issue. Running too slow. Ran faster workouts tow days in a row and feel really good. Must have put something into my stride that I now need to correct at slower speeds. I will put some races on the board soon for myself.

Pretty crystal-ballish to be making predictions for a race 3.5 months out ... but I'll throw 18:50 out there anyway.

Way to step up, CR!
Log stalking shows:
consistent training - CHECK
7-day-a-week runner - CHECK
runs races often, all distances - CHECK
last 1/2 projects <3:20? - NEGATIVE (but several other races including 10K, 7miler, 15K, prior 1/2 all say ... CHECK)
My prediction: 3:20 will be easy for you. See you in Boston in '14!
5:22 would be a huge PR. Best track mile is 5:25, I've run 11 track miles in the past 4 years so it's not like I haven't tried. My fitness is now the best it's ever been, weight's down, maybe with some specific mile workouts through June I can hit this one.

Extra credit if I beat Ken's mile later in the month! Not likely to happen. I'm feeling slower than my last mile race (5:28.41, February) at the moment.

This could be interesting as my last mile was a 5:28.xx in January. Too bad we can't get on the same track, coupla old guys running .. it could be a Duel in the Shade.

I'd welcome the competition, since it's very likely that I won't have any at my mile race if they make me run with the other old farts. I don't think they've had anyone in the M55-59 age group that can hobble a mile in under 6 minutes in the past several years. I'll be out in front running by myself, or I can run with the elites and run off the BACK of the pack by myself, like I did in February. It's a time trial, either way...
And if I can't beat you straight up on time, we'll fall back on age-graded times, right?
I did manage a decent speed session tonight after work, considering I'm still sore from my race last Saturday and winter weather has rolled back in here this afternoon, crushing my motivation and making me want to climb under a blanket and hide out until the sunshine returns. So I thought, just run some short laps. So, 16x200m, @4:40 pace. Plus a 200m warm-up lap. Felt pretty good over-all and was hard, but I don't think I broke or tore anything so it's all good. This was in my heavy 10 oz trainers...
