Sorry to hear about the DNF but you played it wise and packed it in before more damage was done. Live to run another day.
I'm glad you now know what's wrong but, boy, was that timing unfortunate. I know how much you were looking forward to Chicago.
I wouldn't give up on the PR, however. You've been doing some great running and, IIRC, your last PR came when you weren't expecting it.

I can confirm how incredibly painful these ruptures are. When my cyst ruptured, I was in bed literally screaming. I can not imagine that happening during a race. Shudder.

Sorry you had to DNF this race. That sucks majorly. At least you know what the cause is now, so that's always a good thing!
