Not a dude
I've learned that running through pain for 4-5 months is fucking stupid....and a recipe for being sidelined for awhile.
Shorts over tights also prevents frozen ass syndrome. Seriously.
What have I learned? That to me, running requires patience. It requires intimate knowledge of myself. And above all, it requires faith in what I can do.
Well said, Lily.
I've thought about this on many runs. Patience to trust my pace. Patience that the top of the hill will arrive soon enough. Patience to let training build endurance. Patience that problems in life will work out.
