For me it's not gonna happen. No one wants to see that.

Believe me, I know the feeling. I can't even walk shirtless about the house without hearing vomiting and gagging noises.

That is definitely a strange angle.  90 degree turn with 75m to go to the finish.

I told you!  In my (limited) defense I was pushing that last mile to catch the guy in front.  This was the end and I was around a 4:40? And sucking (something) wind big time!

Fighting time as best I can. I am self conscious as hell before and after.  During the race I'm only thinking about performance.

(Doesn't hurt that my DD boosts my confidence. "You look healthy daddy."   Makes a huge impact.)

That is the only thing I saw of him when we ran together in San Antonio because he was always ahead of me...

                Barking Mad To Run

I go shirtless and little children get terrified....they think the Pillsbury Doughboy is running at them.   So, at the requests of parents everywhere, I keep my shirt on.

Some people go shirtless and look bad ass. Me. I go shirtless and look like an old man. I keep my shirt on for races now.

ha! He would have to slow down. ... alot lol. I couldn't catch him at his easy pace. Though I must admit, I very much prefer being chased.

I could keep up with him for about 8 miles of a half marathon, but that was almost two years ago. Now, he would just be a flash at the starting line. He is faster now and I haven't changed.

Signed up for a 5k tomorrow. I need to wipe that 23:47 that I ran last month out of my brain and get some confidence. I melted in the heat, hills, and humidity last month. Tomorrow's course is pancake flat. That should help. The temperature will be pleasant, but it might be a little humid. I am back in shape though to run a much better race. My goal is to run three sub-7's and get in the low 21's.

I decided it is still a little warm to run a 10k, the 5k is a much closer drive, and the 5k has better bling.
