I was planning on going snowshoeing.  Right now it's -1 and some ridiculous wind chill.   It's was supposed to warm up to 15 by 10am, and in the 20s by mid day, but I am slowly beginning to realize that I may have been lied to by some overly optimistic weatherperson.

The plan was to run 2 miles this morning, but I tweaked my ankle on the trail run yesterday. URD.

54 degrees now. It is supposed to be mid-70s later.

FreeSoul and Sly, good luck on your races!

I'll run 7-10 today, maybe with the dogs, we'll see.

Happy anniversary, Scotty and Gail! You don't see that often, 30 year anniversaries... You've done well, bravo!

Today is also our anniversary, SO and I, 26 years together. Feels like 6, really. Complicity is what makes it last, I think. We still have crazy ideas for the future (the kind that make our children roll their eyes). If we can accomplish half of them, I'll be very happy.

I have miles to run. Not sure how many, but aiming for 13. Tonight we are invited at my BIL's who is back from his trip to Antarctica, where he went on a Russian research vessel. Should be interesting to sit through 2743 pictures of deserted white land and penguins. SIL better have lots and lots of good food to keep my stomach happy...

Garmin says 26.42 but I think the clock said something like 26:39 or something but I'll know here in a little bit. The hills out there at the college are a bitch, I think last year's time was around the same mark so that's good. I did a 2 mile warm up before the start, got pelted in the eye by sleet... that was fun lol.

Overall it was a great race, and I've had like 7-8 donut balls now .... dang it

Nothing for me, I'm about to treat DS to a trip to the library, lunch out, then home to watch movies, because he is certifiable as a bad-ass runner now (see Cold Weather Wimps thread). I'd like to go swim or bike, but this kid sucked it up and ran in miserable conditions this morning, and he deserves some fun now.

20,000 miles behind me, the world still to see.

7 miles done.  Did something I haven't done in quite a while .. walked about 1 minute.  Uphill, into a cold headwind.  Just couldn't catch my breath, figured nobody cared if I walked but me.  And I was right .

Keeping in mind that I'm a city boy, the one time I did that was running 18 miles out and back on a trail towards BFE, basically because I thought I was going to get eaten by something.

I have since run on it no less than four dozen times but yeah, that first day there was a 'lil trepidation there.

Run to live; live to run

3.1 fast then a 1 mile with dh at his pace (super slow for me)  then .2 with Quincy medium pace. So 4.3 total

Hammy even ran a little. When I got back with dh we took the pups for a short walk and I made Quincy run back. Hammy didn't want to be out done so he trotted behind us slowly with dh. Hammy needs to lose weight so this was his start. Not a far walk but he can't go far with his back. He hasn't been getting as much exercise with the pool being down for a month. We aren't sure if they will reopen. We hope so, but don't know. That little 30 min weekly swim kept Hammy's weight in check. But not doing it for a month he has gained 2 lbs and needs to lose it before he becomes a chunky basset.

not too cold here. Was 40s and a bit windy when I ran. Short sleeve tech and capris. Was perfect.

What'd you end up doing CY?

I like your attitude this time around Dave. Good luck with your first run back!

Nice run Marj. Hammy is living up to his name gaining 2 lbs in a month. lol
