I can attest you eat a lot. You had lunch with us and second lunch.
Oh yeah, I forgot about that! lol I am apparently still a growing boy.
Although if I recall correctly (which is also known as IIRC for my man Cy) I did not get the one side dish I ordered from the first place, so it absolutely had to be replaced at the second.
Remember that was all star week (I ran 68 miles) so carb replenishment was at a premium.

Yes, but you replaced the SIDE dish with a FULL meal. LOL.

It was yummy! That grilled asparagus sandwich just did not cut it. lol
You were the one that ordered it!
Yes, but with a plate full of pasta that never showed up. Hello?
Thanks, I'll try to remeber that one. I remember seeing that in some posts before and had no idea what it was. I thought it was a reference to an old (and still running?) Internet exchange protocol "Internet Relay Chat" but with a modern twist I didn't know about that accounted for the extra "I" in the beginning. It didn't make sense in the sentence though.
Just got back from the sports center where I change and shower for my running. Didn't run. Forgot my towel. I have used my t-shirt as a towel after my shower before in absolute necessity but not today. No way my t-shirt would have had any absorbtion faculties left after a run with intervals today, in the middle of the day right in the sun. I'll run tonight instead. I don't like running in the evening much, but that's that.
I just spent about 10 minutes driving alongside a woman who put makeup on each time we stopped at a light. She finally turned but glanced my way and now looks like another person!
That's what I call making the most of your time!
Run to live; live to run
LRB I'm close to back. No long runs yet. Maybe in a little while. We will see. But I will be around 260 to 270 miles this month. Will see how this week plays out. So almost normal for me.

That is a three month total for me.

Barking Mad To Run
3.5 miles this morning on trails and paved roads. As I was running by the Zoo at 6:45 in the morning, I heard this bird making all these weird whistles and sounds and 'whoop-whoop-whoop' noises, etc. So I stopped for a couple of minutes and when it was quiet, I whistled loudly. Then the bird responded...and then got quiet, like it was my turn now...so I whistled again...and then the bird started again...and back-and-forth we went for a few minutes, that was fun. One of the park groundskeepers was out on a lawn near me doing some work and was listening to it all and laughing about me and the bird. Guess we were his morning entertainment for a bit.
18 miles, Sly, in our Texas humidity will be "butt hot" all right! Hope you did well.
Good luck with the miles tonite, Baboon. Looks like the image thing is fixed now.
Congrats on your run, Lauren. As for the sweat trail...leave a towel by your front door, then just strip off all the sweaty clothes before you go inside - I'm sure your neighbors won't mind - wipe off really well with the towel and then wrap the towel around you and head on in.
Good luck with your pm workout-run Zelanie and B-Plus!
Cuz, Dan, for some reason this August, Mother Nature hates us. 6th day in a row yesterday of our temp here in San Antonio hitting the century mark, sheesh.
Congrats on the miles, FreeSoul.
I can relate to busy at work, Marjorie. I've been a 1-person shop for about a week now...boss at a conference, another person on vacation, and one abruptly retired. And, of course, since I'm the only one here for now, naturally everyone wants something done that has to be done immediately, sheesh. 11.2, glad to see you are still regular.
What, LRB, no bacon? "That grilled asparagus sandwich.." Uggg...PLEASE don't remind me of asparagus...that stuff smells so nasty when it's cooking....Gail was grilling some last night...yuk. The way it smells they should call that stuff "Aspara-GAS"....I had to go sit outside on the deck for a while, until she was done with that nasty stuff.
Good luck with your run tonite, Cy. I much prefer running after work and am counting the days until the end of Sep when it finally gets cool around here until May or so and I can go back to running after work.

Thanks Zel and Scotty
18 done, ended around 11:30 "only 97, feels like 101".
and Zel I'm relatively quick but that's still 2.5 hours including pit stops it heats up fast around here!
Tried a Honey Stinger Gold at 10 miles, took right at 8 min to hit lasted until around 15. Not s bad gel, but man you must like Honey!

If you'd been driving right behind her, after a couple of lights, you could've honked at her at the next one, just as she started applying....OOPS! Yeah..she does look like a different person....
Nawww...we're too nice to do that, right?
I was damarized by scotty?
Blammo!
