18 done,  ended around 11:30 "only 97, feels like 101".

The reason I am sticking to 5ks and 10ks this year. I hated those 13 miles runs last summer when it was 90+ degrees at 11 PM.

    Personal Bests:

    800M - 2:38 (5/28/13) | 1 Mile -5:54 (5/28/13) | 3K - 11:55 (12/29/12) | 2M - 13:00 (12/1/12) | 5K - 20:00 (4/12/13) | 13.1M - 1:37:24 (2/3/13)

It has been over 20 minutes. What's with the delay?

The call I took while taking the pics screwed it up. lol

I might post it anyway when I get to my computer.

Started the house hunt today. We went with someone from our realtor company. It went something like this:

            We looked at a house
            It hadn't been updated
            Within thirty years

            On to our next one.

What, LRB, no bacon?   "That grilled asparagus sandwich.."   Uggg...PLEASE don't remind me of asparagus...that stuff smells so nasty when it's cooking....Gail was grilling some last night...yuk.  The way it smells they should call that stuff "Aspara-GAS"....I had to go sit outside on the deck for a while, until she was done with that nasty stuff.

No running for me today, though I did run around for a little bit with the kids at PE. I want to go for an easy run tomorrow but it's so hot I will likely have to wait until sundown. I am ready for summer to be over.

This pic does not do it justice but trust me it was sickeningly rich.

LRB you are not a slacker. I am not training for anything specific. I just like to run far. I don't find my numbers that impressive. They are just numbers to me and nothing like I would have thrown down last year at this time. But, I'm okay with it.

Hi. Sorry I did not post this morning after my usual early AM run, but had a crazy day at work.

                              Hansons 6 x 1 mile at GMP-10, w/400m recoveries; 10 miles total with wu/cd.

Per yesterday's discussion, I thought I would want to do them faster, that GMP-10 would not be challenging enough. I was wrong. Ended up more or less right on -- GMP-11/12 for the first 5, although #6 at GMP-20. It was a tough workout. Especially with a DP of 70, which is pretty steamy for these parts. The averages looked good, but they were ugly -- I had a lot of trouble maintaining a steady pace for each repeat. Start off too fast, then slow down too much, then pick it back up to hit the average/mile by the end. Just could not get the feel of this pace, hopefully will get more comfortable with it as there will be a lot more to come.

Remember to modify your target pace by the weather conditions.

I use this site for quick adjustments:

In N Texas of late it has been a 4.5 - 6% hit, and it does make a huge difference in being able to finish a quality or hit consistent paces.
