5 x (800m at 6:10 pace, w/ 400m easy), 7 miles total.
HEY, I ran tonight and it didn't totally suck.
Excellent!
It's only been a few weeks so it's still a work in progress. It should look pretty good in a month or so.
Um .. that's not what I had in mind. That's .. odd. I like anything from goatee to full beard, but it must be short and neat. No neck beards. No soup strainers. And definitely no .. whatever that thing is.
Are we there, yet?
After taking off yesterday because of post-race soreness, I ran 3.2 miles easy around the neighborhood. Still sore but I could run. Yesterday I don't think I could have. Now what's this about someone not liking facial hair on men?
2024 Races:

05/11 - D3 50K, 9:11:09 06/17 - 6 Days in the Dome 12-Hour.
You would like my beard then and all of its variations.
Of course I got a baby ass face now though so hold that thought.
Nice!
I get freaking hungry at this time everyday. That must be a sign of MRT.
Did you say once that you have never or rarely shaved?
4 with 3 10 second hill sprints. Those were interesting.
Scruffy is fine. That thing on Andrew Luck's face, not good.
I let my first beard grow when I was 19 in college. Since then I have shaved it off 3 times: Once because my future FIL insisted for my marriage to his daughter, once when I enlisted in the army (they insisted I keep it off for the duration), and once on a whim when I was back in grad school after my army days. I believe it's been about 38 years since the last time I was clean shaven.

We went hiking again today, and this time....................
He did try to get hold of the leash a couple of times, but was a good sport about it.

That thing on Andrew Luck's face, not good.
For a good time google neckbeard. lol
Nice pace.
Jack, I hear you about work stress vs. training stress. One reason I don't think I'll do Portland again is with an early Oct. date, prime training weeks coincided with prime back to school stress weeks. It wasn't that I didn't have time to run. I had the time. I just didn't have any spare resilience at that time of year because I was using it all at work.
I really like doing that stuff. The run goes by pretty fast as I'm always focused on the pace change coming up.
Pace and distance are not necessarily spot on, as they were from my foot pod running indoors, but I don't really care about perfect accuracy. Every time I checked the pod's accuracy vs the watch's GPS, the pod was over 98% accurate.
I was pretty winded at the end of my fifth interval, so that's that.

4 and weights done. The weights are going to hurt tomorrow!
