          rather be sprinting

Hey guys!  I ran along a bit of the NYC marathon course today.  Everything was still set up.  It was neat to see some finishers wandering about with their medals.  They seemed a lot happier than they were yesterday, LOL.

5 miles easy today (8:28).  Feeling good except for a slight twinge in my left achilles and some asthma from the cold.  Glad I did my long run on a day when it was nicer out.

            PRs: 5k 19:25, mile 5:38, HM 1:30:56

Lifting PRs: bench press 125lb, back squat 205 lb, deadlift 245lb

            Skirt Runner

Usually Monday is a rest day but after logging only 8 miles last week due to a lot of issues (stomach, shin) I decided to do 5.5 today. I didn't run Friday or Saturday and so didn't feel like I wanted or needed the RD today.

              PRs:   5K- 28:16 (5/5/13)      10K- 1:00:13 (10/27/13)    4M- 41:43 (9/7/13)   15K- 1:34:25  (8/17/13)    10M- 1:56:30 (4/6/14)     HM- 2:20:16 (4/13/14)     Full- 5:55:33 (11/1/15)

I started a blog about running :) Check it out if you care to

              Barking Mad To Run

Hope your PT went well, LRB!

Glad your knee is feeling good, Tom.

Welcome back to the cold weather, Dave.  Enjoy it since you like it.   Me, I prefer to be warm.

Happy Monday, Oski!  Well, at least you started the week out productive.

                Congrats on your 18-miler Baboon.

                Happy SRD, Step and outoftheblue.

chilly, slow, and clumsy, that sounds so invigorating, FreeSoul! Joking    Hope your legs feel better.

Way to get a walk in, Sarah.  Did I miss something?  Did you finally get to take the boot off?

My first sub freezing run, and I couldn't be happier about it.  Happy about subfreezing weather?  You are a sick runner, granite. Wink  Give me 90s over sub-freezing any day!  Of course, some people would say that's sick.

Enjoy your workouts, Jimmy, and good luck with the doctor appointments!

Run strong for your tempos, Zelanie!  But then, you always do.

Gee, Andrew, do the deer get to shoot back?  Seems only fair....Wink

Hope that twinge in the achilles clears up fast, scapp.

scottydawg, I wish that I were able to race as often as you.

Sarah, yay for being off the DL!

                          Awesome!

I kicked my ankle like four times while out there lol.  I was not expecting nor mentally prepared to run today.

She actually had to talk me into it, imagine that!
