Hi Gang It's only noon and I'm tired already. No exercise yesterday as we worked until 3 then attended our sons college graduation for 3 hours
then celebratory dinner out.Only managed about 3 hours of sleep last night and hubby was up at 5 am because he had to be
at work for 6 this morning and I wasn't into that crap so I left home at 7:30am and biked into the city,
15 miles. Dodging the traffic with no sidewalks, very few shoulders, no bike lanes and inattentive drivers
is a tad stressful.
2000 yards in the lake after work today and 90 km on the bike with hubby and a group of friends tomorrow.Supposed to be a spectacular weekend here. Haven't had an entire weekend of sunshine in a long time. Plus Canada Day is Tuesday and my boss surprised be yesterday by cancelling class on Monday and
giving me the day off with pay. 4 day weekend! Woot!!! Awesome boss! Woot!!!
Decided to take advantage of the rain and not run. Weighed all the options and decided that discretion is the better part of valor. And when I say discretion, I of course mean laziness.

Okay I have seen it all! I just drove by a guy holding a pooper-scooper underneath his dog while said dog took a crap in it.
I have just one question for him; WHAT IN THE FUCK WAS THAT?!

Sigh, I just inputted my hours for this week. 65 hours of work this week, not even counting travel the two days.

Anyone have a blueberry pie or cobbler recipe I can try?
saw a helluva pitcher's duel last nite between josh beckett and adam wainwright. zeros across the board thru eight innings. final score was one to zero...sounds like a soccer score. 5.5 miles this morning....have a great weekend everyone!

Ran my first track workout today. Here is the lowdown:
-2 mile warm up
-4 x 400m at 6:45 pace (thereabouts)
-200m recoveries at 7:25 pace
-two minute rest followed by 1 mile jog (getting tired)
-2 x 400m at 6:45 pace with 200m recovery in the middle
-2 mile cool down
7.3 miles at 7:49 pace for the run.
Not bad for my first try. A little slower than I'd like, but I have not done any speedwork recently nor did I really know what to expect today. 5K PR pace is 6:35 and I know I am not there right now. I look forward to seeing what a bunch of these workouts will do for my speed. Sunny and 85 degrees today. I could see the heat coming off the track when I stepped on it.

Buy that man a Miller beer an ice cold Fresca!
Chick at the store while I am minding my own business studying two bottles of wine in the aisle,
"Sir may I help you with your wine selection tonight?"
"Uh, I guess, sure. Which of these selections do you think is better, the Coppala Cabernet or the Diseno Malbec?"
"Sorry sir but I don't know, I only drink white wine"
8 miles with bridge repeats, also known as hills for those non-flat people folk.

Hi dailies:
Rick - haha, at least she was honest about the wine.
Basya - stupid legs, show 'em who's boss next time.
Baboon - training for a sub-5 beer mile?
B+ - 4AM, hell no.
D^2 - just be leery if they give you a shirt, tie, bicycle, and a "partner".
D - time to ask for a raise
Lily - hope you enjoyed the summery day
Scotty - wishing you no issues with the cyst
Free - it looks sweltery in that pic
