Happy Anniversary to Scotty and Gail and Lily and Mr. Lily
Hip Redux
So got the news that I have a torn hip labrum this morning and of course today I remembered to bring in all my running stuff to run at lunch. I'm guessing I probably should hang up the shoes for now.
However, this might mean that my toe nails will finally grow back and I can get a pedicure.
Lily, enjoy your eleven-miler. I just like my sleep. Phil, have a great time on the TM. DaveP MI, I hope that you have time for a run. outoftheblue, have a pleasant six-miler. Rick, thank you for the review. I might have to stash some in my desk at work. Awesome workout this morning. Zelanie, have a pleasant run. Shari, enjoy what sounds like a wonderful day. Andrew, sweet six. FreeSoul87, I'm glad that you're taking care of yourself. I'll have a pedicure the Sunday after the marathon, if possible. I know a woman in Jerusalem who does them amazingly well. She focuses on smoothing and massaging the skin, which is what I need most. Ugh. My feet are beginning to resemble hooves. I'm going to do some smoothing in the shower after running on the TM, but there's only so much I can do.

This is why waiting until after the race is probably good - those "hooves" are protecting your feet.
20,000 miles behind me, the world still to see.
Hey Hey Hey, It's that wonderful day... Yep, we're talkin' about chocolate at crazy low markdown prices. Almost makes up for it being February. Lily - Did I miss it ? Are you a grandma ?

Not yet. She's being a real female and making people wait for her great entrance. Four days past due date...
But you are right! It's Discounted Chocolate Day! Woohoo! Must go to the drugstore to empty the shelves of everything Lindt.
PRs: Boston Marathon, 3:27, April 15th 2013
Cornwall Half-Marathon, 1:35, April 27th 2013
18 marathons, 18 BQs since 2010
So we will be romantically side by side tonight. One on the treadmill, one on the bike then switch.
Now all you need are those Cialis side-by-side bathtubs, to finish up the evening.
Dave
LOL... I'm so tired this morning everything makes me laugh. It's like being drunk.

Wow, sorry about the bad news. Glad to see you are looking on the bright side. Plus now you will be able to keep your uterus intact for a while. Not sure whether that's a good or bad thing for you.
Oh no! So sorry to hear that. What a bummer. :-(
Dang O. Sorry. At least you have an answer now though.

Hi Dailies...
Oski: So sorry to hear that...
DW and I aren't all that into Valentine's Day but I did wake up to a my favorite treat... a giant box of Hot Tamales! We will have our real fun later tonight... a five mile run!
Have a good weekend.
Will run for scenery.
I have no idea what a labrum is, but the "torn" part sounds bad. I hope it's something that can be treated or will heal up.
Stupid feet!
Stupid elbow!
It's the cartilage that surrounds the ball-and-socket joint to keep the ball in the socket. Sort of the "ridge" around the socket.
Oh, and my phone and tablet keep auto correcting it to labia. So that's fun.

Any idea what caused the tear?
Uffda
Sorry to hear that Oski. I hope you have a speedy recovery.
- Andrew
No idea. It's usually caused by a bony impingement (FAI), but at this point it doesn't seem like I have that. So some sort of trauma that I inflicted upon myself. It started after a 5K in July but I don't remember doing anything during the race, just that I was really in a world of hurt after.
And thanks all for the well wishes.
