      CoolWELCOME TO THE DAILIES THREAD!Cool

Anyone and everyone can post your runs, cross-training, abdominal work, rest days, race plans, training questions, etc.. The only stupid question is the one you did not post. There’s a great mix of beginners and veterans, runners and walkers, and maniacs and returners, from injury to running. We're all a little crazy here, too! While this thread is a terrific source of motivation for runners and serves as outstanding accountability, you’ll quickly find this remarkable group to be highly supportive of all life experiences. So, come on in, put your feet up, and stay a while (not literally)! And whoever is up first is welcome to start the thread and we definitely keep some weird hours here.

    Hi dailies:

Up early to get a head start on the week, hope some of you have off.  Probably just a few recovery miles later.

    Mmmmm...beer

      Mornin' Jay!  And everyone else!

Did some running this morning, might do some more later. Smile

Hope everyone has a great day!

Morning, Jay.  I'm working today! Enjoy your day off. Smile

          D - what up!

B+ - have a good trip back.   Did I miss how Chicago went?

Work will be busy today.  I have packed stuff to get a run in from work (YES I HAVE MY SHOES) so we'll see if I can sneak out.

          Brrrrrrr

          Uffda

Morning dailies. SRD for me. Actually I don't know what the schedule is any more. Smile I guess a reverse taper is in order. I'm still pretty sore, especially in my feet.

I wore a newish pair of Kinvara 3's to the race on Saturday. I wonder if they just aren't made for going the distance, or if I need to add something like a sock with a bit more padding?

I need to catch up on the RRs that were posted this weekend. Have a great day everyone!

Good morning now and I have today off then!  Looks like some folks put up some run reports last night that I need to get to.

I was going to run yesterday but didn't.  Other stuff just got in the way, such as lying on the couch.  I'll get out for 10 later today.

I can only wear Kinvaras to 5ks, but others have worn them to marathons with no problems. I think it just depends on the person.

on my long run yesterday I decided that I am not going to run the marathon in December, I am not ready for it. I really want to spend time on getting faster first. I away supposed to do 18 yesterday, and decided around 5 that I didn't want to do it. I was at peace with it. I ended up running 9 progressive. It was a great run, I went to Liberty State Park which is home to Statue of Liberty and about a billion other things. My new favorite spot.

i think I may buy the Runner's world get faster plan. Anyone try it, or something like it? Other options, advice? My plan is kind of similar to what I am running now: intervals on Monday (8x400, was doing 10k pace but will try to increase to 5k or close), hilly route on Wednesday at MP, easy on Saturday on long on Sunday (9-15)

I have an unpaid furlough day (yeah I know it's redundant, I prefer emphasizing it though), and am hoping to be seen by my PT this afternoon for an eval if they can fit me in.  I just really would like some direction with this stupid thing, and to confirm I am going in the right direction.

You folks out east must be tickled pink what with the Bo Sox and Patriots unlikely comebacks yesterday, the former of which was against my beloved Tigers.  The Wolverines also managed to take a shit against Penn State Saturday but the Lions won and ultimately that tops all.

                  Time for coffee...

WE ARE!!! I am so pissed I didn't watch it. My heart hasn't been in it since JoePa died.

Nope, you didn't miss it. It went well. I'll do up a report when I get back.

You have incredible restraint not posting a single detail about your race all this time.  Not me.  Shit, I once wrote a race report from the parking lot of the event!  lol  Have safe trip!

O, you finally remembered your shoes, yay!

Jess - bummer about the marathon.  Sad  But being conservative about it will certainly pay off in the end when you are better prepared!

Morning!  SRD today.  Psoas feels better and I can lift my leg now but I'll be doing some stretches for it and that is it.

Jay, hope your early start of the week goes well.
