Just kidding, of course. Congratulations! Now rest up after tonight!
Congrats, Sly!
Congrats Sly!
I hit my paces, but have no idea how I'm going to hold this pace for 13.1 miles.
Congrats, FS & Sly on the new PRS!
20,000 miles behind me, the world still to see.
Luckily today you don't have too. Helluva run though!
LRB, hello darling! What will the movie be tomorrow?
Well what do ya know, it looks like I am headed to the theater in a couple of hours after all for some thin crust yumminess and purple pleasantry. Gonna see The Equalizer, which I have heard nothing but good things about.
I'm pre-drinking in prep for the must win game for the boys in blue.
Enjoy! It does sound like a good movie.
PRs: Boston Marathon, 3:27, April 15th 2013
Cornwall Half-Marathon, 1:35, April 27th 2013
18 marathons, 18 BQs since 2010
Congrats Sly! I hit my paces, but have no idea how I'm going to hold this pace for 13.1 miles.
There is nothing like the adrenaline of race day to make you run faster, or make you hang on longer, than you thought you were capable of.
I'll have an RR later on but I'll give you guys a little bit. I really didn't think I could get under 2 hours after the first mile and both calves, hams, and glutes were tight and sore. This is my first time running on tired legs due to marathon training but I think yesterday's SRD helped a lot, I stayed the course and finished the 13.1 miles in 1:53:12 with an average pace of 8:39 min/mile. The new course was hillier, but I don't really think that hurt me at all, in fact it might have helped me. And I have a 5k tonight , I am seriously questioning my sanity on this one but I am taking tomorrow and Monday off to rest and recover so it shouldn't be too awful.

The Maclin spreadsheet puts you at 4:16 on the very conservative setting and 4:07 for fairly conservative. You should be safe starting out in that range
I don't even wanna discuss the marathon right now lol.
Back to your old self.
Dave
Gettin' there this bath soak seems to be doing the trick.
Hmmm... Want to check course accuracy... If it's on then I just PRd. 17:15 5k...
Congrats on a great time!
How do you check a course's accuracy? I suspect my spring 10k was short, but I don't know how to check it other than with a GPS, and I was wearing it during the race...
