Hey, I just set my HM PR 3 weeks after my marathon, so I'd say you've got it. (Unless it's too damn hot again.)

          Mmmmm...beer

Almost forgot about this one, just signed up.  This was my very first race back in 2012, and I won my AG there last year.  Great race, CC course, and a great cause.

I think I am in 1:32-ish shape, providing I am recovered and the weather cooperates.

Wouldn't mind going under 49:00 but depends on weather.

                    Sounds like a plan.

Question regarding your Marathon goal:  I re-read and say that you were aiming for 3:20 - 3:25.   Did you think that was a soft goal or at the edge of your fitness?

                    Edit:

I plugged in your goal marathon times in my prediction calculator and it spit back 1:35:56 & 1:38:19.

Granted I did not change any of the other pertinent data (height, weight , age) So that may affect VO max (I don't recall if it is a linear progression or age curve   etc.

*shrug* Just some numbers I thought may help?

Edit (will add after you answer)

I think that was a fair goal.  I believe I could have run sub 3:20 if everything was absolutely perfect, which obviously it was not.  I am pretty honest with myself about where I am, and I figured I'd run around a 3:26.  For my prior marathon, I thought I would run a 3:45 and I ran a 3:45.

I can't wait to see the results! Sounds exciting for everyone! Good luck guys!

I may have a 10k next Saturday, if I'm up to it. I haven't registered yet, and I don't even remember what it's called. It's a local race. We don't have many races around here, so it would be a good opportunity to meet some of the runners in the area.

                        PRs: Boston Marathon, 3:27, April 15th 2013

                                Cornwall Half-Marathon, 1:35, April 27th 2013

Be forewarned, after this people will be pressuring you to do a 5k.
