Never used compression sleeves.
Awood, 3:30 it will be..Jack, following any plan? Even if you don't get to do it on Dec.. your training will ensure a good spring race.Hopesmom, glad the knee is better..Reading those color code on resistor is nostalgia.. Ginny, yu will get that 150.. it took me 16mths to reach 200.. not sure if I am able to hold on..Traci, Mizuno Nirvana and Inspires is my long run shoes.. longest miles in Kinaras is 4M.. Working to include it for 10K race.Coralie, sorry abt the ear... your log will have to look normal before it became epic. click on awood's for inspiration.. haaScotty, 300 I can only dream... I am with you on high knee socks.. Now, we just need some penguins to provide a selfie..Mel, Looks like you are living the life.. Enjoy the holiday...Awood, I am using 2Xu because the selection is pretty limited where I am.. It's helps..Oh ya.. CW-X compression shorts are here.. It's is thicker than the 2XU i had.. size seem ok, maybe a little big (I am in between S & M but I decided to go for M).. need to put in a run to determine if it is any good...

The latest debate in my lab: We set one setting to 0.2V. At one end of the cable, it reads 0.2V. At the other end, it reads 0.02V. Comparing a similar cable, there's a honking resistor at the end. Ok, so that explains the voltage drop, right? So if we set the voltage to normal operating voltage, which is 2.2 kV, why do we get a readback from the computer of 2.2 kV? Where does the readback occur? And what exactly are we supposed to get out of the end of that cable? And yes, I did have to use Google to remind myself how to read a resistor!!

Can't help on that one either, HsM. But is the knee better?

Hi from Mammoth! Fortunately, it was a boring drive. The kids were great and they mostly slept and read. Unfortunately, the air quality is poor so there will be no evening run. Hopefully, we will get one in the morning. I will try to check in but I only have the phone.
Bin: I am going to try the Pfitz 18/55 plan. I'm not an animal like you and Awood!
I have CEP calf sleeves and I love them for after runs. I am certain they help my calves. CEPs are what all the ultra runners around here wear. I think Damaris wears CEPs too. They are sized by calf size in inches so she can just measure an look at the little chart thingy.

Traci
Traci: do you wear them during your round or only after? I was thinking about getting a pair of those.
I don't like to wear them while I run but I always put them on after I run and sometimes I sleep in them. I have been consistently wearing them after every run since switching to a lower drop show (since calf problems are common when you do that) My calves feel great. I'm a believer.
Former Bad Ass
I have compression socks instead of sleeves. I love the CEP ones but the brand that works as well and has awesome colors is the Pro Compression. Traci, check them out too.

Coralie - I'm glad you're starting to feel a little better. Hope the ear doctor has only good news for you. I know it's hard to wait for something like that.
Mel - sounds like you're having a lot of fun on your trip and even getting in some good runs. I love running in new places.
Jack - hope the smoke clears soon. How close are they to containing the fire?
Jerry - I'm glad the hip is behaving. Are you ready to start nonstop runs?
AFM: I barely made it a mile on the TM. Pain is back. Time to maybe get serious about resting. I hate being unable to run, but it's better than being hurt so badly I can't walk. Odd results on my blood-work. I'm trying to avoid seeing a specialist, so I'm waiting to see if the next round in two months shows the same issues.
Jack, Hi-five! I am on Pfitz 18/55 too.. modified a bit though.
Ginny, at least you can still hike.. Rest those hip.. Do you take calcium supplement?
Sorry about the pain Ginny. Take it easy. I'll ramp up my intervals slowly. 3/4 miles this weekend.
Sorry ginny
Hope you get some relief soon.
