                1. PR at the Evansville Half Marathon 
                  1. Time/ 1:53:12, 3 minutes and 26 seconds off last year's PR
                2. Run two races on the same day without injuring myself
                  1. so far so good

                    I'm pacing a marathon on November 6.  It's the 3:25 group so I'd like to get myself into 3:05 shape so that I'm not struggling in last few miles.

                    Short term goal: 17:59 5K

                    Mid term goal:  2:54:59 marathon

                    Long term goal: To say I've been a runner half my life.  (I started running at age 45).

                      • HM PR on Oct 11 (not fully confident that'll happen)
                      • Finish the month strong and hit my taper properly beaten up

                          Results:

                          Oct 1-18: Do not get injured. Do not get sick. Do not get a paper cut or hangnail. Fail. Hurt knee & took off the entire last week before race.

                          Oct 19: Kick ass. 12 min marathon PR. Good 'nuff.

                          Oct 20-31: Vegetate. More so than planned, due to lingering Kneebola. Ugh.
