Overcast 75 degrees 75% humidity.
My goal was to beat my first 10k of 1:15. I thought maybe 1:10. So I wanted to go for an 11m pace, but as usual I came out too fast. I settled down a little but kept a faster pace than planned. It was really muggy out and I was starting to feel it around mile 3. I held on and passed a couple of guys finally in mile 6 that I had been going back and forth with. I thought I had held them off but one of them blew by me at the 1finish and he was in my AG! I didn’t have anything left in the end.

Congrats on the PR, you are making some nice improvements.
Way to stay strong, PAD.
8 minute PR is fantastic improvement! Nice job! That is always the trick to pace it well enough to stay strong. I think it was smart to ease off after mile two, and might have saved you in the later stages.
Sloooow.
That is a huge PR for a 10K, congratulations! Your hard work really is paying off
Sweet, PAD!

Fabulous new PR! Way to go! And, you ran your PR in less than ideal conditions - they were downright icky conditions, but you ran strong anyway. Congrats!

Nice improvement.
Had I not had the Tyler HM on Sunday I would have run the Pumpkin Run.
How did they change the course? Just loop through the park? What was your take on it?

8 minutes is HUGE in a 10K. Awesome job. I think this could go a long way in helping you set your pace, and practice your pacing for the HM. Although, you'll probably pick up additional fitness along the way, you have a starting point. Keep up the great work.
