I guess you would not advise him to run the Key West to Havana Marathon in November, I understand that is a lot of rolling hills and one should expect wet feet.
Seriously, that story cracks me up. I know you gave exellent advise, its just you never know what life throws at you.
Hey RSX we are thinking of doing that one next year. We have done the Ottawa marathon which goes through thru two provinces. I like unique races so the US/Canada idea appeals to me. See you then ?
Saint John is the only one on my bucket list so that gets done before any other races outside of MA. I would love to do that, and/or Ottawa after.

I've had a chance to think about this (a/k/a a music-free long run) and have concluded that my client has simply made a rational choice. What's more important: a green card or the Detroit Marathon? We know my client's answer to that choice.
