WednesDAILIES: You know how we do it! (Read 44 times)

From the Internet.

    Good morning everybody!

8m w/ 5 @ HMP this morning.  Felt very much under control.  Feeling good about my race.

@Lauren710 - Umm, congratulations!  Here's to another few months of torture. Smile

Nice! Coach wants me going for 6 at HMP this week.. crap, tomorrow. D: I might die.

I fully intend to take a couple weeks to relax and then a couple months to base build before jumping right into more torture, haha Smile

      Also, I REGISTERED FOR A MARATHON. D:

      Yay!  Which one?

I also registered for one today.  My husband woke up with WTF am I registered for a half?  He can thank me later.

Morning!  I have Pilates class and 5-6 miles tonight.  Woke up feeling sore and tired (thank you, asthma bout) but as the day goes by I feel better.

I ran 7, drank 20 ounces of chocolate milk made with Hershey syrup, had a half order of blueberry pancakes with a side of scrambled eggs topped with cheese, have red cord at 12:30 and will be looking to eat something yummy and delicious shortly thereafter.

Lauren, got it.  Nice marathon, from what I have heard.

There are stretches where it can get lonely with no crowd support, but there's nothing in the way of major hills, and the 10-mile water stop near Memorial Hall in Fairmount Park is the best on the course.

That all sounds good.  I've been nursing a cold since Friday but have not missed a run.  All I ate during that time was my meals without my usual between-meal calories.  Today my body has realized this.  It wants food, a lot of it, and right focking now.

                    SRD #3 for me.

For those rubberneckers here, my RR is up.

                    Life is good.

Scotty, you are serious poster child material!

I squeezed out 2 after walking 4.  My back got twingy again.  I made another massage appointment for Friday, hopefully that helps.  This week is the return to cutting grass, and we pushed for 4 solid hours yesterday.  More today, and tomorrow.  I think that, combined with an attempt to return to running this week, is a bit too much too soon.

Paced DW for 7 this morning.  Man I feel beat! Hamstrings are tired...

I think its racing and speed work combined with miles much slower and far less efficient.

And YAY I remembered to do my core workout...  we hates it...

On a side note: anyone of you aiming to head to DFW near April 25th - there is a professional age graded race tour starting up.

12k race with a $5k prize pot - payout is down to 70th place.    (age graded - we all compete on an even playing field)

Mercifully, my red cord workout is done. And whatever little I had in the tank (which on a scale from 1 to 10 was basically .03) was gone 5 seconds into the hour long session.

And if that was not bad enough Nicole informed me that her hubby took a fellowship at the big school in Madison, Wisconsin (he is an aspiring orthopedic surgeon) so she is leaving at the end of June.

The poor thing, I think it was harder on her than it was on me. lol
