I ran 5 very easy miles in the rain before the sun came up. That is all for today.

5 miles easy pace, but still felt like an effort. My legs are just tired. I've run more miles and hours this year than ever before and maybe it's just showing.

The interesting part of my day as I’m making meatball lasagna for New Year’s Eve. Have to make it today as I work Saturday and Sunday. Rolled lots of little meatballs, predawn this morning
3 miles. Still felt harder than it should.
Sounds like we have the same issue... whatever it is.
I know what mine is. Overreached last week. Usually when I've done much higher mileage than normal, I do a portion of it on the treadmill because it is somewhat easier on my body. I didn't have that option last week and am paying for it.
Add me to the 5 easy crew. It was a steamy 54 degrees at the start, 57 by the finish. Not much of a run, but I was sweating when I was done!

Same. I'm hoping its due to cutting back on the (crap) eating this week.
But my year overall can be best defined as "sluggish". It's hard to think about one race/workout/run that felt great. I know iron is not low but probably time to see the doc (perimenopause? thyroid? vitamin deficiency?).

I actually was feeling ok through early fall. I did a fair amount of workouts over the summer plus about 16 weeks or so of a heavier lifting program. I think I should have added in some lighter work after that, but I instead tried to jump right into a 5k plan with the same amount of strength training and it was way too much. I have definitely gotten stronger, so at least that's a plus.
I was super tired when peri or menopause hit. Luckily, I was still WFH and my lunch time was spent napping (I didn't know that was peri/menopause, though). HRT was the only thing that took the tiredness away. Get that thyroid and VitD checked first.

4.1 miles done. Next to last run of the year. The first mile was into a strong wind and tough. Rest of the run went better.
