Well, the plan called for 6 miles at marathon pace. However, the temp was 72º with a DP 70º and since I wasn't in the mood for a trip to the hospital, I ran medium effort without worrying about hitting any particular pace. 9 miles total.

Morning! First day waking up without flinching or hurting. I think the tape I had put on was pulling more and making it hurt more than it was at the time (it was painful anyway, but no need to make it worse, eh?). RD for me on the schedule anyway, so will do the massage therapist and hope this is the end of this issue.
I was almost in tears yesterday; this is good progress.

Rest week, day 3. I did sign up for my company-sponsored Hartford Marathon freebie though!
So how much run fitness have I lost from five weeks sans running? What are your thoughts, friends? Keeping in mind I spent that five weeks hammering on the bike, plus I got all of my swims in.

You're still more fit that I'll ever be...
Seriously, though (not to say the above isn't true), I don't have enough experience with swimming and biking to even begin to guess how they can offset the time off from running.
Big picture - it will likely mean a lower target for you in the 2024 B&B miles game.
Are you still dealing with the low iron issues? If so, I could see you being faster after the layoff.
Ha, that is true!
Yes, that is something my doc says is not going away and we'll just have to monitor it.
Ugh. Hubby has those iron issues (almost chronic) so keep checking it!
My guess is that you'll feel sluggish for the first few runs and then back to being a rock star. So no real loss in fitness.
4 sloggy miles in too humid. Nothing like HR in the 170/180s for a super easy jog
Are we there, yet?
Actual fitness probably won't be affected much, but running specific fitness may decline. I'd anticipate anywhere from equal to double down time to get back to where you were, with equal being more likely.

Since I already completed Week 3 of C25K, I did 2.1 miles off the plan.
