I was just typing out a dailies thread. I am glad I checked first before submitting the thread, because then there'd be two dailies threads today and boy would I look like a fool!
Slept 10.5 hours last night. Wife woke me up this morning simply because she felt I had slept enough. Heh. I'm feeling pretty tired and lazy this morning. Easy run and bike planned with said wife today. Holy crap is it WINDY out there! Sunny and 65 though so I ain't complaining.

My excuse is I was busy PR-ing a half marathon this morning.

Congrats Dave!
I'm going to actually rest for a day, with no special plans. Maybe work in the yard a bit, maybe a recovery jog, maybe just sit around in pajamas.
Will run for scenery.
Went on a 14 mile hike yesterday. Beautiful warm sunny day and the trail is finally clear of ice up to 10,000 ft. My feet have become soft and pretty over winter. I need to turn them back into the gnarled twisted cobs they were last fall.
Stupid feet!
Stupid elbow!
Well, ok. I guess that's a good excuse.

Congrats, Dave.

Rocky and I got 10 miles in this morning on the trails, it.... wasn't great I'll say that much. I felt sluggish and tired, but the good news is my legs didn't give me any issues so I guess that is a good thing. My garmin started beeping low battery (I knew I should have charged it yesterday!) around 3 miles, I hoped and prayed to make it to mile 5 before starting my cardio trainer on my phone to go with my watch until it died. I wasn't sure if my watch would save the work out if it did die in the middle of it so I saved the first 5 miles and started a new one. The garmin made it to 3.63 or 8.63 technically before dying.
Lesson learned? Make sure my garmin is close to or fully charged before my runs.

Busy feeding the chickens, cleaning the coop and watering the garden this morning. Heading out for a 8 milers shortly.
Congrats Dave on an awesome PR!
Life is good.
Um, I was busy waiting on you to start them. Helloooo.
Awesome! That's a great beginning to an inaugural race, just imagine where that time is going to go in the coming years.
I cannot wait to hear all about it!
Well done, Dave!

And that is without any speedwork. Great job and congrats, Dave! But you can do better.
6 easy with the wife this morning. I don't recall running on a windier day than this. HOLY CRAP. 20 mph with 40+ mph gusts. Sunny and warm though.
