    Lots of races this weekend according to the September race thread.  I know at least one other person (MtnBikerChk making her HM debut).  Who else?  SPEAK UP.  Fall race season is upon us.  I look forward to my Facebook news feed bombardment.  Big grin

              I forgot to add mine!! I am running the Oktoberfest 10K with my dad tomorrow! Not a goal race at all just doing it for fun...will be his first 10K. I am going for a win though...best German themed costume! There is a 5 hour Oktoberfest party after the race. Unfortunately I can't stay too long because I need to go to my cousin's baby shower.

               

              Im excited to see staceyloobug has a half...that means in 3 weeks or so her cats will give us a RR hehe....love her RRs

                      Tomorrow will be my second of three HM's in a span of five weeks.  I decided to race the first and third ones, and treat this one as a training run/tune up for my HM in two weeks (Hartford).  I chose that goal because it'd just be cool to get under 1:40 again.  Tomorrow's course is 6.5 miles of gentle down, then 6.5 miles of gentle up.  The HM in two weeks is a tougher course and I'll be giving that my best effort.  If I am not feeling it tomorrow, I have no problem dialing it back and even running a 9:00 pace.  Now that said, while it is "just" a training run, I still want to do well.  It is a race, after all.

                              Technically, I qualify with the bare minimum.  It just worked out that way though and I couldn't see myself hitting another threshold.  Ideally I'd only do 3-4 HM's in a year.
