Return To Racing
Quick check in- my official time was 53:03. I feel like I ran it more like a short HM than like a 10K. OTOH, I ran it strong, felt good the whole way, and had a strong kick. RR later, I am going out for some lunch!
Great time Mel. You don't seem to have any limits. Congrats !!
Also, congrats Jack on the 20 miler and PAD on the 10.
Former Bad Ass
Today was First run for me since last Monday. Only did 3.1 Miles at 10:50 pace. Rt Shin is still sore when I press on it. Kt taped it. See how it does. I have been doing shin exercises every day but let ITB exercises slip so ITB will probly act up as soon as shin behaves. I want to do a 15k oct 12 so my stupid body needs to cooperate. Have a good Sunday everyone.

Smaller By The Day
I got home a little bit ago from Milwaukee. I finally had a little bit of dinner. Now, I'm going to try an easy run before it gets dark. After walking some stairs this morning, we'll see how this goes. The results on active.com now, and it looks like I placed much higher than I thought. 440 out of 4047 overall, and 309 out of 1606 men. So, I don't think that's too shabby for a 213 pound man.

ZelZel, congrats on the 10k.
Awood, the rankings are very good.
Pad, nice job on the 10.
Jack, I'll have a 20 coming up soon.
Traci, I've signed up for the 15k, hope u can do it.
I did not run with Bella, took a RD instead. We got a little o the yard done and will do some more next weekend.
Hog: before your 20, be sure to get plenty of sleep. It is definitely a must for me.
Jack- Congrats on the 20!
Mitch- I hope that Bella is more help with yard work than Mia is! She likes to do her own pruning and harvesting, and will attack shovels and sprinklers.
I can't find any races with a Clydesdale division, but I think they usually start around 190 pounds. So, I'd be 20+ pounds over that.
Damaris, great workout.. You will kill Chicago..Mitch, have a good day.. Coralie, crushed rock slowed you down but great for strengthening.. Yes, having a new member soon.. Jack, congrats on the 20M.. it's a great morale booster.. 8:55 is fast!PAD, woohoo for the longest..Kristin, 5M+ is still pretty good..Ginny, hope the pain stays away.. didn't you mentioned that you body like fewer miles but more days? Maybe that's the way to go now.Dave, congrats on the PR..Jerry, any target for that streak? 55 is beyond awesome for me.Traci, sorry abt the shin.. are you foam rolling it? I have some luck on my SS with eccentric stretch.. maybe you can try it?Mel, 1st 10K after being back from that knee pain.. you are doing good.. 2 more mths to HM.. you will smash your PR.Awood, good result for 213 pound man.. are you still getting smaller?

2XU HM - 29 Mar
Bin - I'm working on it. I had to ease up on the calorie deficit for a bit. I found that it was a bit much to deal with during the tougher periods of training. I had some days where I felt like I didn't even want to get out of bed. I've adjusted, and as long as I don't put on any weight I'll be fine. I'll work on dropping more weight after my marathon.
Awood: lol about the Clydesdale! I know for certain you would be at the top of that category!! Man, you are going to kill it at your marathon...
Bin: you are right, it is a great morale booster, but the first thing that went through my head when I finished was "How am I going to finish the last 6.2 miles?!"
